Cheers to the “Dream Big” Small Business of the Year!

We’re excited and privileged to announce that The Urban Grape, the Boston wine shop owned and operated by Hadley and TJ Douglas–and the basis for our favorite wine book, Drink Progressively–has been named the 2021 “Dream Big” Small Business of the Year by the US Chamber of Commerce.

As noted by Richard Hartnett of the US Chamber of Commerce, “This award recognizes a small business that exemplifies the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship, and individual initiative. Urban Grape’s innovative business strategy, rapid growth, and commitment to community development stood out among this year’s nominees.”

To select the right glass of wine to celebrate their success, you might want to apply their innovative and approachable method of categorizing wines. By ranging wines on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being the lightest-bodied and 10 being the fullest-bodied, Urban Grape’s Progressive Scale makes it easy to pick the right bottle every time. If you haven’t heard of their ingenious method, check out their book, Drink Progressively.
